This is project had a prompt to show the effects of history and layers of time that signage undergoes.

I was thinking about the relationship that the affluent people of the Global North have to vacation destinations in the Global South. I was thinking about how global trade has created different perspectives on products, based on your standpoint.

I was thinking about the woman who uses skinny tea that promotes a far off herbal medicine so that she can have a “beach body” for her “dream vacation”.

I was thinking about the woman who paints a sign to sell that tea back to its originating country after it has gone through the ringer of global marketing and export.

There is a sticker placed on the sign as an act of vandalism that reads “colonizer diarrhea tea” in morse code

I was thinking about porcelain china, I was thinking about Hawaii, I was thinking about shitting yourself on purpose.. on intimate and global levels.
