MW | Omega Mart | Produce Section

I supported the art fabrication effort for Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart installation in Las Vegas, NV.

The Produce Section holds several small cubbie installations that all play with different ideas of genetically modified foods. Concepts were driven by Creative Director, Emily Montoya, and fabrication was carried out by myself and my artist peers.

I had a hand in creating a functional design for an interactive stretchy stemmed bell peppers (pictured above), supported production for several of the Veggie Donuts, provided the initial paint sample and R&D for the Travel Apples, and lead the fabrication of the “Produce Wave”— a pattern of various fake fruits that served as a decorative topper for the produce section’s shelves. A prototype segment of the wave is pictured below.
