TOUCHY FEELY I: GOD

TOUCHY FEELY I: GOD

This piece is not about what you see, but is about what you feel.

That is the undercurrent of faith.

There is an invitation from the sound of brushing magnetic tape and rippling fringe: touch me, feel me, be inside of me.

The tape slides across and around your body with cool tendrils that tickle around you as the fan above you causes them to wiggle in a soft breeze.

The magnetic tape comes from a collection of found VHS porn.

Magnetic tape as a material for logging sight and sound and touch is particularly interesting because it relies on decoding forces of attraction. It is a technological miracle.

I’m interested about how God becomes Science once it’s observed.

And regardless, how understanding both require presence and sensation.

The above video is a brief and insufficient stand-in for the aura and experience of this work.
